There are people who come into your life at just the right moment, almost by chance where it seems like divine timing, and I can honestly say that Mahina and this mentorship was that for me. Joining the Manawili Mamas group was one of the best gifts I gave myself as I stepped into motherhood. The path of the mystic and the path of the mother can both feel very isolating at times. Mahina really opened my eyes up to how I didn't need to let go of one for the other, but how they can intertwine beautifully. In fact, I came out of our time together feeling how much deeper I could go on the mystic/spiritual path after the initiation of giving birth and becoming a mother. How our children are our greatest teachers, and we are not alone in the wide variety of feelings and emotions that come up while raising our babies.
